  • A Day in EDEN

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN EDEN CITIZEN

Imagine waking up in a society where your value isn’t determined by your job title, your wealth, or how much property you own.

You wake up in an EDEN community with your family. You don’t begin the day worrying about income taxes, college tuition, or whether your children will be able to afford an education.

You have a job. You work 40 hours a week at $20 per hour—the same basic value placed on every person’s working time.

That’s $800 per week, or $41,600 per year, before considering the fact that EDEN is designed to eliminate taxes.

    MORNING

You eat food produced through EDEN’s farming system, where family farms and local agriculture are important parts of the community.

Your children attend school without tuition.

Older children can eventually choose college or trade school without tuition becoming a barrier.

Education isn’t reserved for families who can afford it.

    WORK

You go to work knowing that your labor is being compensated according to the same basic hourly standard as everyone else’s.

The purpose isn’t to make one person enormously wealthy while another struggles to survive.

Businesses operate to provide useful goods and services.

Profits are directed into the Societal EDEN Fund, which is intended to finance things the entire community needs—roads, schools, colleges, infrastructure, housing and other public necessities.

    AFTER WORK

When your workday ends, your time belongs to you.

    You go home.

You spend time with your spouse, children, parents, friends and neighbors.

You aren’t measuring every decision by whether it will make you richer.

The EDEN concept puts greater emphasis on family, community, stewardship and human relationships.

    EVENING

You might work in your garden.

    You might help a neighbor.

    You might study.

You might simply sit down for dinner with your family.

The goal isn’t a society where everyone lives extravagantly.

The goal is a society where people have enough, contribute to society, and have a meaningful life beyond their jobs.

    OLD AGE

After decades of contributing your labor to society, you shouldn’t be treated as though your usefulness has disappeared.

The EDEN family model envisions generations caring for one another rather than abandoning older people to isolation.

Children are raised by families and communities.

Adults contribute through their working years.

Older generations receive care and dignity.

    THE BIG IDEA

EDEN isn’t simply proposing $20 an hour.

It’s proposing a different definition of what a successful society should look like.

    Less greed.
    Less class division.
    Less economic fear.
    More family.
    More education.
    More community.
    More stewardship of the Earth.

    The question EDEN asks is:

What if an economic system were designed first around the value of human life—and money second?

That is the lifestyle EDEN is attempting to create.

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Slidell Man Unveils “EDEN” Economic Vision: $20 an Hour for Everyone, No Taxes and a Society Built Around Family

SLIDELL, Louisiana — September 10, 2026 — James R. Dunne of Slidell is asking a question he believes governments, economists and religious leaders have largely avoided:

What would Earth look like if human life—not money—were the foundation of the economic system?

Dunne calls his proposed answer EDEN, a sweeping social and economic vision rooted in his interpretation of biblical prophecy and what he believes the ONE TRUE GOD intended for humanity.

At the center of the proposal is a radically simple economic standard: every person would receive $20 per hour for human labor, regardless of occupation. Dunne argues that people are not merely selling their skills when they work—they are giving away irreplaceable hours of their lives that could otherwise be spent with family.

Under his proposal, a 40-hour workweek would provide $800 in compensation, or $38,400 annually, without traditional income taxation.

Dunne also proposes eliminating taxes altogether and replacing the conventional profit-driven economic model with what he calls a nonprofit societal system. Businesses would operate for the benefit of society, with profits directed into an EDEN Fund to support infrastructure, housing, roads, schools and colleges.

Education would also be free, including trade schools and colleges, with students receiving the same $20-per-hour standard while participating in their education.

The proposal further envisions family farms, natural food production, a universal EDEN Dollar, and an economic system intended to operate across national borders.

Dunne acknowledges that EDEN raises difficult questions about ownership, government, money, business, production and human behavior. He says those questions are exactly why he wants to take the proposal into the public arena and defend it under direct questioning.

“This isn’t just about changing an economy,” Dunne says. “It’s about changing what we believe a human life is worth.”

Dunne is seeking interviews with television, radio, podcast and digital-media producers willing to challenge the EDEN proposal directly.

  • Tucker Carlson interview request

    Hello Tucker Carlson Network Producers,

I’m asking you to consider an interview with James R. Dunne of Slidell, Louisiana.

Dunne says he has developed a vision for a radically different society that he calls EDEN. His beliefs combine an unconventional reading of biblical prophecy with proposals for changing how society approaches work, education, farming, economics and government.

But the real interview isn’t simply about presenting his beliefs.

Dunne wants Tucker Carlson to challenge him.

He is prepared to explain why he believes Isaiah 53 is relevant to his mission, why he rejects fundamental claims of Christianity, and how his proposed EDEN system could function in the real world.

A Tucker interview could put those claims under direct scrutiny and allow viewers to decide for themselves whether Dunne’s ideas are visionary, unrealistic, provocative—or something else entirely.

Dunne is available for an interview and is willing to discuss his ideas without avoiding difficult questions.

If the concept interests you, I can provide the full EDEN proposal and additional background.
